Reginald was Derrick's Father

Reginald was a Corporal, # 11986 with the 10th Battalion West Yorkshire Regiment.
Born at Sheffield on 24/4/1895, he lived and enlisted at Sheffield. Reginald died at Brighton on 18/4/1986.
Reginald was called up to the West Yorks Regiment and went to France on 13th July 1915. He fought at Dickebusch, south west of Ypres and was wounded in the second Battle of Ypres. He was wounded again on the first day of the Battle of the Somme on 1st July 1916 and injured at Fricourt, near Albert, with a bullet through his right arm and a bullet through his ear. In 1917 at Cambrai he was wounded again, this time in the leg.

Before the war he worked at Marshalls brickyard at Loxley. After the war he became a train driver on the LNER.
