On attestation papers living at 13 Mount Ville Street Beauchief Sheffield with his mother Caroline Stacey.
Full name: Frank Herbert Stacey.

Joined : 123rd Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Force
Reason : Living in Canada at the outbreak of war.
Enlisted Date : 07/12/1915.
Information taken from Canadian Library & Archives.
Transfered from the Pioneer Corp into the 29th Battalion
( TOBINS TIGERS ) in May 1917.
Died after the War due to the effects of mustard gas.

Born at Sheffield on 24/6/1894.


Further information from Chris Hussey:- Thought you might like to have further information to why my Grandfather was in Canada at the outbreak of WW1. Known as the Home Children he sailed to Canada for a better life in 1912 on the SS Canada.
