Arthur was born in Peterborough in 1888 and died there on 14 Jan 1962 (in the War Memorial Hospital!).
He served as a Pioneer with the Royal Engineers with service number 209541. According to his medal card he enlisted on 2 Nov 1916 and was discharged on 3 May 1918 due to sickness and received the Silver War Badge number 409887.
