Ernest and Harry Burnley

Ernest and Harry were brohers born in Batley

 

Ernest born 1890 and Harry born 1896, both brothers served with the Kings own Yorkshire Light Infantry and were killed in action

202747 Enest was killed 14/4/18 aged 27 and is remembered on Tyne Cot Memorial

13033 Harry was killed 4/10/15 aged 19 and is remembered on Loos Memorial

Harry attended Carlinghow Council School. He enlisted August 1914 and went to France January 1915 and was wounded 8/5/15, he returned to the front and was killed 4/10/15.
